Principle of Purity: It’s Durin’s first form, the Principle of Purity. In this state, Durin reduces enemy resistance by 20%. If your team has Hexerei characters, you will receive a 35% res shrewd due to their passive talent. To activate this state, you have to click the Durin skill 2 times.

Principle of Darkness: It’s Durin’s second form, the Principle of Darkness. In this state, Durin can’t reduce enemy resistance but deals more serious damage than in his first state. If your team has Hexerei characters, then their vaporise and melt damage increases by 70%. To activate this state, you have to click the Durin skill once, then use a normal attack once.

Durin’s damage and buff both multiply when you use Durin with Hexerei characters.

Genshin Impact Durin Build Guide: Constellations

Durin C3 and C5 increase his Burst and Skill level by +3.

Durin’s Principle of Purity ignores 60% of the enemy’s Defence, and the Principle of Darkness ignores 70% of the enemy’s Defence.

Constellations	Explanation
C1	Durin’s Principle of Purity gives 60% extra damage boost to the active character based on Durin’s ATK. The Principle of Darkness states increases Durin’s damage by 150% based on Durin’s ATK. An excellent constellation for the whole team and Durin’s personal damage increase.
C2	Increases all Pyro-related reactions’ and involved elements’ damage by 50%. Worth considering if you want an extra buff for your team.
C4	Increases Durin’s Elemental Burst damage by 40% and enhances the effect of C1. Not a must-pull constellation, but Durin will provide some slight buff and extra damage.
C6	Durin’s Principle of Purity ignores 60% of the enemy’s Defence, and the Principle of Darkness ignores 70% of the enemy’s Defence.

If you want to pull for Durin’s constellation, then I recommend you go for C1 and C2 constellations, both of which can increase your team’s overall damage output.

Moonweaver’s Dawn R5 (4*)	One of the best 4* swords for Durin. This weapon increases Burst damage by 40%. If the character burst ER cost 40/60, then Burst DMG is increased by an additional 32/56%. Sadly, the Durin Burst ER cost is 70; otherwise, this weapon can outshine his signature weapon.
Finale of the Deep R5 (4*)	Fontaine’s craftable weapon. One of the best 4* weapons for Durin. To get this weapon’s full passive, you need a healer. This weapon provides a 24% attack bonus and can further increase up to 300 attack based on your bond of life.
Lion’s Roar R5 (4*)	Available in the weapon banner. This weapon increases the Pyro and Electro affected opponents’ damage by 36%.

Genshin Impact Durin Build Guide: Artifacts to use

Balad of Life and Lament	This artifact set will be released in the Version 6.3 update. 2-piece set increases ATK% by 18%. 4-piece set increases attack by 25% after using Skill, Burst, and Normal attacks. If the equipping character Witch’s Homework is completed, then he will gain a 20% crit rate. This artifact set is best suited for Durin, and it will likely become his signature set in the future.
Noblesse Oblige	2-piece set increases Burst damage by 20%. 4-piece set increases the whole team’s ATK% by 20% for 12 seconds after using Burst. Now, it’s the best artifact set for Durin. It can support the whole team and also increase Durin’s damage.
2-piece Noblesse Oblige + 2-piece ATK% set	If someone in your team is already using a 4-piece set of Noblesse Oblige, then this artifact set combination is a perfect option.
Emblem of Severed Fate	2-piece set increases 20% Energy Recharge. 4-piece set increases Burst damage by 25% based on ER. Maximum 75% damage can be increased in this way. To get this artifact, 75% Burst damage, you needed 300% ER, but Durin doesn’t need that much ER, so he can get 38% Burst damage bonus.
Deepwood Memories	2-piece set gives 15% Dendro damage bonus. 4-piece set reduces Dendro res by 30% after using Elemental Skill or Burst. This set is not good for Durin’s, but it’s a perfect support artifact for the Burning and Burgeon team.

Arlecchino, Varesa, Raiden Shogun, and Klee will be our main DPS. Chevreuse will be our buffer; she will reduce enemy resistance, provide Pyro and Electro damage bonus, ATK bonus, and heal the whole team. Fischl will help us get the Hexerei character buff, and she will be our Electro applier and sub DPS, too.

2. Pyro Swirl Teams

It’s another fun team for Neuvillette, which also deals excellent damage. In this team, we will use Durin with a full Em build, and you can use the Principle of Purity if you want good damage from Burgeon cores. If you want more damage from Durin, then use the Principle of Darkness state. Neuvlitte will be our main DPS, and Durin, Furina, and Lauma will be our buffer and sub DPS.

4. Vaporise Teams

Mualani and Neuvillette will be our main DPS in this team. Durin can’t reduce the enemy’s Hydro resistance, so for more damage, use the Principle of Darkness state. Sucrose will reduce the opponent’s resistance to Mualani, and she will also provide extra damage for Durin. Furina will be our buffer and sub DPS for Neuvillette. Xilonen/Kazuha will be our buffer for Neuvillette.
