Genshin Impact Version 7.0 update, titled “Everwinter Without Mercy“, arrives on August 12, 2026. The upcoming update introduces two new characters, a new region, Snezhnaya, new Elemental reactions, QOL changes, and more.

Great Expeditionist Challenge (Main Event)
Genshin Impact Version 7.0 Main Event will take place in Snezhnaya. After completing this event, we will receive 4* character Diona with her new skin, 910 Primogems, and other in-game materials for free.
Mutual Aid in Bloom: Into the Frostlands (Mini Event)
It’s an exploration event where we temporarily join the Enhancement Assistance Society and begin exploring the special regions of Snezhnaya together with its passionate members, sharing all kinds of adventures and collecting Katheryn statue parts to build different images of Katheryn in our own style. We can earn 420 Primogems and other in-game materials after completing this event.
Trial of the Bastion (Mini Event)
It’s a shooting event, and we can use firearms to fend off opponents and earn 420 Primogems and other in-game materials after completing this event.
Genshin Impact Version 7.0: New Region
The Snezhnaya map in Genshin Impact is located northwest of Nod Krai. It’s larger than Sumeru’s forest area and easily bigger than Nod Krai’s map.

Odette: 5-Star Cryo Claymore
Odette is a 5-star Cryo Sword support character whose entire kit revolves around Stellar Reactions and Solo Dance Double. She summons her Solo Dance Double when we use her Skill or Ultimate. Her summoned dance duet deals AoE Cryo DMG to nearby opponents over time, and when the duet ends, she deals another instance of AoE Cryo DMG that is considered Stellar-Conduct or Stellar Swirl DMG.
Odette can increase the whole team’s Stellar-Conduct and Stellar Swirl DMG by 14% based on her ATK. She can increase her own personal damage by up to 30% if she has 2000 ATK. Alyosha: 4-Star Electro Polearm
Alyosha is a 4-Star Electro Polearm support character in Genshin Impact. He can increase Stellar-Conduct damage dealt by all nearby party members by 20% and restore HP to nearby party members at 120% of his’s attack. He can also increase his personal damage by 70% based on his Energy Recharge.
Reruns
Odette’s debut banner will be in the first phase, alongside a rerun of Arlecchino, then Flins and Ineffa’s rerun banner in the second phase.

Third-Person Shooter: It’s an integrated shooting game with Elemental Reactions by combining the fun of both gameplay systems. In this gameplay mode, we also get the Aim Assist feature for those players who have never played shooting games, which will help players land shots more consistently. This gameplay mode is similar to other shooting games. We can save ourselves from bullets by hiding behind objects and can slide. There are multiple types of stages in this gameplay. There are three types of guns for this mode.
Genshin Impact Version 7.0: New Elemental Reaction
In version 7.0, we will get a new elemental reaction called Stellar-Swirl. When Anemo comes into contact with Cryo, it triggers the special Stellar-Swirl reaction. This deals one instance of Anemo DMG to the target and creates a Polestar Wind Cluster: Cryo. After a certain duration, the Wind Cluster explodes, dealing a single instance of large AoE Cryo DMG. Both instances of damage can CRIT.
Only one Polestar Wind Cluster: Cryo can exist within a certain area at a time. After Stellar-Swirl is triggered nearby a certain number of times, the Wind Cluster will grow and evolve into a larger form, causing its explosion to deal greater AoE and higher Cryo DMG. If even more Stellar-Swirl reactions are triggered, the Wind Cluster can detonate prematurely.
Additionally, triggering Stellar-Swirl grants nearby party members the Radiance: Stellar-Swirl effect, enhancing the effects of certain Talents and Skills. Some characters can, through their own Talents, directly deal Stellar-Swirl reaction damage to enemies. This reaction damage can also CRIT. After the Polestar Wind Cluster: Cryo explodes, it briefly grants nearby characters the ability to perform a high jump.

- New characters in Temper Thyself: Lyney, Wriothesley, Navia, Xinyun, Chiori, Sigwine, Clorinde, Emilie, and Mizuki will be added to the roster.
